The speed of data backups is going to be determined in large part by your Internet connection upload speed. Depending on the data load, the initial backup can take anywhere from 15 minutes to a few days. Typically we will come onsite to perform the initial data backup to an external hard drive, then take that back to load that directly onto the server. This will drastically reduce the time needed to perform the initial data backup. After this, data backups are incremental, so the bandwidth needed will be far less.
